Project Description

As a subcontractor to B&C Transit Inc. and Nomad Digital Ltd., DMZ is contracted to install broadband communication equipment along 49 miles of the Caltrain Right-of-Way (RoW) from San Francisco to San Jose. Work includes at each location: install antenna and enclosure on Overhead Catenary System (OCS) pole, excavate and install raceway from antenna location to existing 288-strand fiber splice capsule and power source, pull power and fiber optic cables, splice fiber optic cable to existing 288-strand Caltrain backbone cable, and fiber optic testing. Project also includes installation of raceways, network equipment at nine control points along Caltrain RoW and two Caltrain Central Control Facilities (CCFs).
