This project is a part of the BART Train Control Modernization Program. The work included in this contract consists of replacement of existing train control and electrical equipment from the BART Macarthur Station K30 Train Control Room through K35 interlocking and from Rockridge Station C10 Train Control Room to wayside trackway. Work includes procurement and installation of: Switch Power Supply Cabinets (SPSC), Cable Entrance Cabinets, Switch Machine Junction Boxes, related raceways, precast concrete vaults, junction boxes, grounding, and modifications inside the train control rooms. New 480V conductors, 120V conductors and control wiring will be pulled between the train control rooms and all new wayside equipment.
