This project upgrades the Sacramento River Bridge (Tower Bridge) mechanical and electrical systems. The work includes upgrades to the existing security/communications system, replacement of 48 incandescent lights with energy efficient LED lighting, replacement of the traveling cable system, NDT testing and maintenance of the counter balance chains, and replacement of the 96 counterweight wire ropes, required to operate the bridge opening.
