This project consists of underground domestic and fire water improvements to BART’s Concord Yard. The project consists of a fusible HDPE temporary fire protection system, 6” and 8” PVC C-900 mainline/lateral install, domestic water design and install, fire hydrants, fire department connections, pressure regulating valves, post indicator valves and flow monitoring system, air release valves, protective bollards, 6” fusible PVC slip-line under active yard tracks, lightweight fill pipeline abandonment, and associated fence and flatwork restoration. This project requires extensive coordination with BART personnel to minimize impacts to this critical maintenance facility.
