Kifer Receiving Station and Scott Receiving Station Rebuild and Replacement Project

DMZ Builders is leading the Kifer and Scott Receiving Station (KRS/SRS) Rebuild and Replacement Projects for the City of Santa Clara. The multi-year effort includes demolition of existing facilities, removal of legacy transformers and breakers, earthwork and grading, and construction of new civil, structural, and electrical systems. The project will deliver modernized substations with capacity expanded from 372 MVA to 600 MVA, installation of high-voltage equipment, new perimeter CMU walls and gates, and integration of upgraded 115kV and 60kV transmission and distribution facilities. These improvements will enhance Silicon Valley Power’s reliability and prepare the grid for future growth
