Project Description
As a subcontractor to TransitAmerica Services, Inc. (TASI), DMZ Builders is performing rail infrastructure upgrades along the Caltrain corridor. The project involves installing new 136lb ribbon rail across multiple locations. Work includes removing existing 119lb and 136lb rail, installing insulated joints, placing new track materials (OTM), and performing ballast and surfacing operations in accordance with Caltrain’s standards. These upgrades enhance track reliability, safety, and future service capacity for one of the Bay Area’s key commuter rail systems.
